Barabbas’s Sins

He was held in prison for insurrection and murder.

Rebellion is (uncountable) armed resistance to an established government or ruler while insurrection is an organized opposition to an authority; a mutiny; a rebellion.

Barabbas represents all mankind in both of those. Who of us hasn’t been rebellious against God?

Secondly, who of us hasn’t hated someone, even God? We can’t love someone if we have 1% hate in our heart, that’s not love! —But, you say, we’re only human. Yes, but, if you have asked Jesus to come into your life, the Spirit of God is changing me and you, from glory (ours) to His glory!! (2 Cor. 3:18)  We are changed from someone who is bound by the Law of God to a new person who is being changed by a greater law of Love. Jesus applies that law in the two greatest commandments to us. We become changed more and more to a new glory as we manifest His love daily toward Him and to others!

I was a Rutledge by birth! My mother told me that the night they wanted to conceive that they kneeled down by their bed together and asked God for a girl, and daddy asked for this girl to have brown eyes! I was born on November 2, 1951! Brown eyes, brown hair, and dimples!
